BORDER UNION - THE WEDDING
As most of you will know, Chris and Aidan decided to tie the knot and become Mr and Mrs Foynes at Border Union this year. They had wanted the ceremony to take place in the Papillon ring, but as things turned out, it was held in the Main Ring after the Group judging.
It was delightful to have such a lovely event at a show, and we wish them every happiness in their future life together!

SOUTHERN COUNTIES – THE JUDGE`S REPORT
Southern Counties Championship Show
May 31st 2008
My thanks to my stewards and to all exhibitors for allowing me to judge their dogs and for the sporting way in which they accepted the placings. Some decisions were very close indeed and were made on the basis of quality of movement and/or eye colour. Thankfully, there was an absence of short stuffy necks, blunt muzzles and apple-domed heads with the accompanying fluffy coats. Without exception, temperaments were excellent.Presentation, apart from one or two,was of a high standard and only two had bad mouths.I would urge some owners to pay more attention to their dogs dental hygiene as several had dirty teeth.Movement on the whole was good although a few would benefit from road work to build muscle.Front action was better than hind action and I did penalize some otherwise good exhibits for weak, wobbly movement.Good breed type and correct conformation are still there in abundance and I congratulate breeders on having produced so many lovely Papillons
