PUP IDOL HEAT ONE - THE WINNER

Heat one drew an amazing 249 votes, and the runaway winner, with 94 of those votes, was Puppy Number 6.

I hope you`ll continue to vote in the next heat! It starts on Sunday, as soon as I get the pictures on.

DISCOVER DOGS AGAIN

Thanks to those who have already volunteered for Discover Dogs at Crufts - but we can always use more people and, of course, dogs. (I told my Marcus that he would be doing his duty on the Discover Dogs stand, and he gave me a look that plainly said - "Couldn`t I help with Discover Bitches instead?" )

If you - or your dog - would like to get involved, just let me know!

PUP IDOL - HEAT ONE

These are the first sixteen pictures in the Pup Idol competition. As you can see, they are not exactly in order! Blogger and Picasa are really having an off day and refuse to do that for me.....well, it`ll just make it all the more interesting! They are all clearly numbered anyway.

Remember - you are voting for the CUTEST puppy picture. Show quality doesn`t come into it. You are looking for the "Awww!" factor.

You have one week to vote. The second heat will be posted next weekend.....

Start voting, folks!

MANCHESTER - THE JUDGE`S REPORT

I was delighted to be able to judge at Manchester, and with such a splendid entry too! Thanks to everyone who entered under me.
Overall quality was very good, especially in the bitches, and I was pleased to see a lot fewer exhibits with overlong muzzles, light eyes, fluffy or stand-off coats and lack of muscle tone than when I last judged at this level . Movement on the whole was good, and presentation, with very few exceptions, excellent.

MPD (11, 2 abs)

1.Orchard`s PANSPAYON C`EST LA VIE
Sparkling little B/W , attractive head with large ears and fringes, good reach of neck, excellent rear angulation and soundness on the move.
2.Mason`s THOUGHTS OF STARDOM AT AMSEMA
Slightly stronger than 1. Tri with very good overall conformation and a lot of style – sweet head and expression, good angulation giving lots of drive on the move.
3.. Roe`s SUNSHOO IMAHOT SHOT

PD (5)

1. Joyce`s CALAJOY ROBBIE MACFLUFF
Strikingly elegant b/w dog with correctly proportioned head, well-set large ears, good reach of neck, excellent in construction with good angulation, level topline and fine single coat, sound and true in movement. Lots of ring presence. BPIB, and a strong contender for RDCC.
2. Roe`s SUNSHOO IMATO HOT TO HANDLE
Finely made shaded r/w with excellent ears, and fringing and good head proportions, nice coat qaulity and attractive outline. Just lost out to 1 on movement.
3. Orchard`s PANSPAYON ATLANTIS

1.Munroe & Olding`s KIRKCHASE LOVED REGARDLESS BY PAPPLEWICK
Dainty and attractive b/w with fine bone, abundant correct silky coat, refined head, large ears with profuse and super fringes, sure and straight in movement. Well-shaped head with appealing expression. Needs to settle at times.
2. Morrell and Teague`s TEMELORA JUST MAGIC
A tri of quite different type, stronger and well-proportioned, with a lovely outline. Good angulation giving a lot of drive on the move. Plenty of coat and a lovely plume.Level topline, and good tailset complete the picture. A promising young dog.

LD (18, 1abs)

DISCOVER DOGS

We will be responsible for the Papillon input into DiscoverDogs at Crufts this year, and are looking for volunteers to provide suitable dogs and to spend some time helping at our stall. Those helping would need to be available for two hours at a time.

If you feel you could help, please contact me.
