PUP IDOL - HOW IT WORKS

I`ve had some queries about how Pup Idol is going to work.

Well, I think it will be best to keep the entries till the losing date, and not put them on as they come in - that way you`re not hunting back for photos when you have to vote.

Then I`ll have to run heats, just like the real Pop Idol. I`m planning to put on twenty at a time and you will be invited to vote for your favourite - just one. If there`s a tie, I have the casting vote, but I think that`s very unlikely.

It looks as if there will be two heats. Then the winners will battle it out in a final vote....

I`ve set up a chat line on this site before and removed it because I was worried about it being spammed or worse - too open to abuse.

But it`s possible for me to set up an email group like Papnet - but just for Scottish Club members. After all, Scottish Papillons and their owners are unique! Wha`s like us?!

PUP IDOL

I now have a fair number of enchanting puppy pictures, and I`m going to put a closing date of 31st January on the competition. So get these pictures to me as soon as possible. I`m having trouble with Papnet, so it`s best to contact me directly.

And if you did send me entries before the 7th, when the computer died, I think it would be safest to send them again......I lost everything for Pup Idol then as I hadn`t had time to get them on to the external hard disc.

I have had a computer meltdown and am just back online after a complete reinstall.

I`m sorry, but all the photos submitted for Pup Idol were lost. I would be delighted if the people concerned would resubmit them - they were lovely, and I would like to get the competition going again.

......more like these! I`m looking for pictures of cute puppies, and here are a few examples to start you off, beginning with a very relaxed 9 day old little girl.

I thought we could have a little competition to liven up the bleak winter days of January.

What I`m looking for are puppy pictures. No, not posed pictures of your show puppy. This isn`t that kind of competition. These pictures will be of baby puppies and will be judged ENTIRELY ON CUTENESS. The photo that wins will be the one with the "Awww!" factor.

I`m hoping to set up a poll on the site so that YOU will be able to vote for the winner.

It`s probably best if you can email the photos, although I`ll take them in any form and of course return anything that is sent. I`ll limit you to three pictures per person.

There is a mystery prize!

Now come on - you know you have these pictures! Everyone photographs baby puppies. And remember - the cuter the better! I`ll keep the entries anonymous and just number them, although you can send in a caption if you like.

And of course - they don`t have to sing!
